Duties / Job description: Under the general direction of the LeClaire Community Library Board of Trustees, the library director provides leadership, administrative management and oversight of
all library functions and services, including but not limited to: plans, organizes and directs public library services; coordinates and manages activities of employees and volunteers engaged in library services; develops and maintains a current and effective collection of library materials; oversees and maintains day-to-day library budget and annual budget
planning; coordinates and assists in the preparation of financial records and reports; advises the Board, Mayor and City Council, and City Administrator on library services, financial status, legislation, and related matters; supervises the operation and maintenance of library facility, equipment and physical operations.

Qualifications: The position requires a BA in any applicable field of study or closely related field, at least five years of progressively responsible public library experience, and two years of supervisory responsibility. An MLS degree from an accredited ALA institution is preferred.

Salary Range: $45,000-$50,000
