Each year the Association creates a unique conference for library staff from rural and small communities designed with both practicalities and with the understanding that professional development and networking are essential parts of your success.
Topics range from children’s’ programming to fund-raising, to dealing with boards, to keeping up with technology and more.
Upcoming conference updates are available from the main navigation at the top of the screen.
Requests for complimentary media passes will be considered from professional journalists only that are currently working for a national trade magazine/journal that specializes in libraries. Due to a limited number of media passes, please note, the passes are non-transferable and not guaranteed.
Tape recording is not allowed during the event, please plan accordingly.
Recipients of media passes are not allowed to conduct sales, advertising, or other promotion including sharing of literature during the event.
Approved media badge holders will be allowed entry to the following:
Refreshment breaks and meals
Please complete all requests for media passes as soon as possible in order to process the requests.
Requests should be made using our online form
Because each state sets its own requirements for Continuing Education Certification, we are unable to offer credit or certificates. We recommend you visit your state library’s website for information on obtaining credit for national conferences. We also strongly suggest that you keep a copy of your registration receipt, conference program, and a list of sessions you attend as proof of your attendance.
Upcoming conference sites approved by the board as of September 2015:
