The Converse County Library System seeks a full time Assistant Library Director at the Douglas, Wyoming main library. The successful candidate must be experienced, enthusiastic, organized and possess previous administrative experience as well as a strong commitment to public service and libraries.
Preference will be given to applicants possessing a degree in library science (or equivalent) and three years of progressive managerial experience in public library operations/administration. Candidates possessing an equivalent level of education and experience will also be considered. The position is classified ‘exempt’ with a salary range of $43,500-$49,000 per year. Benefits package includes: health/dental/vision insurance, retirement plan, paid holidays, paid vacation and automatic payroll deposit.

This position is located in Douglas, Wyoming which has a population of 6,120 according to the 2010 census. The position also covers our branch library in Glenrock, Wyoming, which had a population of 2,576 according to the 2010 census. We opened a brand new library building in Douglas in October 2016 and a new library building in Glenrock in July 2015. Combined our libraries serve the communities of Converse County, which for the 2010 census had a population base of 13,833.
